Teacher Teacher Assistant Case Worker Substitute Teacher 
       

Job Summary:

To teach and supervise children in child development center(s) to ensure that appropriate skills, knowledge, and behaviors are learned.  Plan and provide appropriate children's activities for the classroom.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Develop teaching objectives for children, write a weekly lesson plan.  Review plans with Center Coordinator.

2. Document all classrooms activities; monitor the progress of children continually.

3. Maintain accurate records daily as defined by regulations.

4. Promote and provide a safe, clean and pleasant classroom environment.

5. Meet with parents on a regular basis, counsel behavior problems.

6. Plan field trips and outdoor activities, coordinate arrangements.

7. Drive and deliver assigned children to and from Center.

  8. Perform other duties as assigned by Center Coordinator

 

Job Summary:

Job Summary:

To manage a caseload that provides opportunities for eligible children and families who are in need to receive support services encompassing health and parenting skills within the objectives of the Head Start Program.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Develop a coordinated family service plan, comprised of a needs assessment and related health care needs, for each assigned client.  Meets with the family for Head Start orientation. Makes contacts with community support services to further the family’s needs.

2. Develop a file on each family.  Maintain required documentation and prepare required reports.  Keep reports, such as monthly attendance, medical and dental screenings, medical and dental follow-up and immunizations.

3. Provide ongoing training and counseling services to family, develop a training calendar for child and family enhancement.

4. Organize family meetings at Centers, provide training at meetings, keep notes and minutes of all meetings.  Act as a resource to parents.

5. Arrange for follow-up home visits with parents, if warranted.  Monitor family progress.

6. Identify family resources by maintaining contacts in the community, research new opportunities, and work within the social services network.

7. Prepare client file documentation and provide periodic reports to Family and Community Partnerships Manager.

 

Job Summary:

To assist teaching staff in child development center(s) to ensure that appropriate skills, knowledge, and behaviors are learned.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group.

 

2. Implement the daily program according to the lesson plans furnished by the regular teaching team.  Assist assigned teacher in any way possible.

 

3. Assist in serving the meals and sitting with the children while they eat at the tables in family style.

 

4. Keep classrooms, storage rooms, and bathrooms clean, neat and orderly.

 

5. Be familiar with and follow all procedural policies.

 

6. Report to Supervisor any special needs or problems of individual children.

 

7. Report to Supervisor any cases of suspected child abuse or neglect.

 

8. Handle discipline promptly and in accordance with stated policy on discipline.

 

9. Must be cooperative and discuss center matters at the center.
